Meadows Music
The Blue Ridge Banjimer
This instrument is a new hybrid of several older
instruments. The fretboard is laid out like that of a
dulcimer, but you hold it and strum it more like a
guitar. The sound that comes out is much like that of an
old time banjo. The pleasant, old-time sound has made it
very popular with our customers. It is primarily a melody
line instrument, so as you get used to it, you can play
melodies just as if you were humming them. I believe it
is just about as easy to play as you can make a
fretted-stringed instrument.
The walnut neck and body are complimented by
a maple fretboard and a western cedar or a redwood soundboard. It
comes with a case, an instruction book and an audio CD to help
you get started.
